In PreNursery, Nursery and Reception, we learn through play, exploration and real life experiences, both in the classroom and in our outdoor learning environment. We follow the EYFS curriculum with a key focus on language and social skills, preparing the children for their educational journey with us.
Welcome to Nursery
In Nursery we are passionate about learning through our play. We have an active approach to learning, exploring the world around us through real life experiences both inside and outside the classroom. We follow the EYFS Development Matters offering a broad, balanced and progressive curriculum. We have a key focus on language and developing our personal and social skills. We also encourage the love of reading throughout our settings.
Welcome to Reception
In Reception, play is at the heart of everything we do. Our inside and outside environments encourage curiosity, exploration and a love of learning. We continue to follow the EYFS curriculum, building on the communication and early Literacy skills developed in Nursery. This ensures our children are well equipped to make the transition from EYFS to KS1.
At Park Lane, we teach the children to read accurately and fluently with the Read Write Inc. Phonics programme.
