Reports and Feedback
Throughout the year we provide ongoing feedback to parents on the progress of your child(ren) in the Secondary School. During the academic year 2024/5 there are four points where 'formal' reporting to parents takes place, comprising of a Progress Meeting and a written report for each half (semester) of the year (September-January, and February-June).

2024/25: Schedule of Progress Meetings and Reports
Please note the difference between the schedules of Y7-10 and 12, from Year 11 and 13. This is due to the fact that Year 11 and 13 students have a shortened teaching year because they are the final years of the IGCSE and IB Diploma programmes respectively, and as such have a slightly compressed reporting schedule.
Ongoing Assessment
Alongside these 'formal' points of reporting, the school uses ongoing assessment and homeschool communication, to ensure that parents are informed of student progress. Although we recognise the importance of reporting grades and progress to parents, the majority of our assessments are designed as 'formative' assessments, aiming to gauge students' progress and provide feedback on how they can improve, and not as ‘summative’ assessments of student progress.
This is one of the main reasons that we do not use 'online markbooks' in the Secondary School. For a greater explanation of this topic, please visit the following link:
"Why we don't use online markbooks"
We have also created a guide called "Assessment and revision - how to help? A short guide for KS3 parents" which might help with advice on how to support your child(ren) when preparing for and reflecting on assessments.
Key Stage 3 Assessment Overviews
Each half-term, the school publishes the assessment schedules for our Key Stage 3 classes. The links for the most current (and previous) assessment schedules can be found here.
